Without the Pass: Thirty Years on the Slovenian–Italian Border

On 12 November 2025, at 18:00, a discussion about the book by Diana Bošnjak Monai will take place at Knjigarna Kavarna Maks.

A conversation about the book that blends personal experience with historical insight on life at the border. Diana Bošnjak Monai, originally from Sarajevo and now based in Trieste, offers a unique perspective on the recent past along today’s Slovenian–Italian border. Historian Marta Verginella will place her observations in a broader context, highlighting multiculturalism and migration flows in this area through time. The talk will be held in Slovenian.
