A long summer of cinematic adventures under the blue sky is about to begin, organised by Kinoatelje and a number of partners in the wider cross-border area.

The Kinoatelje opens the outdoor summer cinema season with two movie nights in Štandrež:

On Thursday, 13 June, the short film programme Cross-Border Film Horizons will be screened, telling the story of cross-border identity through cinematic images. The screening will also be attended by the film crews, including Dario Frandolič and Giulio De Paolis.
On Friday 14 June, you can watch a documentary about Melania Trump, with the filmmaker, Jurij Gruden. For the first time, the film will be screened with Italian subtitles and the filmmaker, the Trieste-based director Jurij Gruden, will be present. The feature film will be introduced by the 2005 short film To My Mother by Gregor Božič.

The Kino Soča - Isonzo Cinema is a network of cultural venues that converge on both sides of the border, from the source to the mouth of the Soča River. It is part of the Go Green Cinema project (SPF GO! 2025), which aims to extend film culture to more remote places where there is no suitable infrastructure for quality screenings.
