Episode six of Tomi Janežič’s Dodecalogy. In early 1977, Yugoslavia was shaken by the news of Federal Prime Minister Džemal Bijedić’s death in a plane crash. That same year, the deadliest accident in aviation history took place in Tenerife. A telephone signal was transmitted via fibre optics for the first time, the first Star Wars film hit cinemas, Spain emerged from Franco’s dictatorship, and Elvis Presley gave his final performance.
