THE HEAVENLY PATH - For families

THE HEAVENLY PATH - For families

The excursion includes a walking route corresponding to the prologue of the Camino Celeste. Leaving aside the official starting point, the Island of Barbana, we proceed from Grado, following the bike path and dirt roads to the pine forest of San Marco, the place where, according to tradition, the evangelist arrived from Alexandria, Egypt, to evangelize Aquileia.

From there, following the lagoon's banks, you'll reach Aquileia, where, after lunch, you can take a guided tour of the basilica and the archaeological sites. The total distance is approximately 12 km, all flat, and takes approximately three hours of walking. Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended.

NB: You must have a valid travel document.

Meeting at 8.45 am and departure at 9.00 am from the Casa Rossa crossing car park in Gorizia
Expected return time is 6:00 pm
Lunch on your own in Aquileia
