The endless post-war period

Half-serious stories and songs in the run-up to GO! 2025

L'infinito dopoguerra (The Endless Post-War Period) is the first production of the Gorizia Spettacoli APS, as part of the project that was awarded first prize in the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia's call for proposals for GO! 2025. It will feature actors Giorgio Amodeo, who is also the author of the text, and Franko Korošec, as well as accordionist Aleksander Ipavec. The aim of the performance is to offer a (partly reassuring) glimpse into a very difficult period for the territory. The performance is complemented by quotations, anecdotes, stories about the arrival of American soldiers and the border they created at Lisert, references to the Cormons-Redipuglia railway project and the stage of the Italian Giro that stopped in Pieris in 1946. All these themes will come to light in a friendly confrontation between the two actors, who will represent different points of view.

The events are scheduled for the following dates:

  • Wednesday 12 June at 8.45pm in the Coronini Cronberg Palace in Gorizia
  • Thursday 13 June at 8.45pm in the foyer of the Verdi Theatre in Gorizia
  • Saturday 6 July at 9pm at the Azienda Agricola Castel San Mauro in San Mauro (Gorizia)
  • Thursday 11 July at 6.30pm in the gardens of the Civic library in Monfalcone.

Admission is free, places are limited.
