The Balkan Migration Route

The Balkan Migration Route

On 19 November 2025, you are invited to a discussion on the role of Nova Gorica in the Balkan migration route.

The Balkan migration route is one of the main land corridors to Europe, stretching from Turkey to Italy. Jure Gombač and Lucija Klun, migration researchers, and Francesca De Piccoli, from a Gorizia-based NGO, will discuss life along the route and Nova Gorica’s role in it. The talk, moderated by Nataša Rogelja Caf, will be accompanied by a video exhibition developed within the Route Biographies project.

The discussion will be held in English.
