Tagliamento e Isonzo. I fiumi raccontano

"Tagliamento and Isonzo. Rivers Tell Their Stories" is a narrative and performance project curated by Gorizia journalist and writer Roberto Covaz.

The initiative unfolds through a series of meetings and readings that explore the history, identity, and nature of Friuli Venezia Giulia's two main waterways.

The Events of 2026:

The project is the protagonist of several stages in the territory, including:

Villesse: Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Civic Center.

Gorizia: Monday, March 23, 2026 at Trgovski dom.

Contents: Roberto Covaz, often accompanied by actors and musicians (such as those of the Terzo Teatro di Gorizia), describes rivers as witnesses to human and historical events.

Isonzo (Soča): Described as the river with two names that unites peoples and borders, telling of heroes, wars and the nature between Italy and Slovenia.

Tagliamento: Celebrated as the "King of the Alpine Rivers", a symbol of a unique and wild ecosystem.
