Sounds of Peace (evening concert)
On 31 August, Cerje will host an evening concert entitled Sounds of Peace.

In the third event of the concert series dedicated to the special project From Tartu 2024 to GO! 2025, rising stars, Slovenian cellist Tara Korica and Italian accordionist Ludovica Borsatti, will be joined by renowned violinist Valentina Danelon. The musicians will combine the distinctive sounds and idioms of their instruments with original compositions that can enhance their expressive potential. The concert will also be enriched by the premiere performance of a composition by Elisa Ornella, a composition student at the Tartini Conservatory in Trieste.
The location, the Cerje Monument of Peace, adds a special value to the project, which is certainly artistic, but also social. An evening celebration of the friendship and connection between Slovenia and Italy, at a place with magnificent views of the enchanting landscape between the mountains and the sea, will offer a first-rate musical performance in a universal artistic language that needs no translation.
In cooperation with the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, the Nova Gorica Cultural Centre, the Paths of Peace in Posočje Foundation, the Miren-Kras Institute, the Pro Loco Fogliano Redipuglia Agency, the Centre for Political, Economic and Social Studies, Senator Antonio Rizzatti and Promoturismo FVG.
