RoR+ Festival | Blue Drift – What Flows Through Us

The RoR+ festival of contemporary art and intermedia practices arrives at Villa Vipolže for the first time, bringing art and science into dialogue around the themes of water and microplastics.

Featuring 15 international artists and collectives from 6 countries, the event explores the increasingly blurred boundary between the human body and the environment.

This year's edition addresses the presence of microplastics in surface waters, using the Isonzo, Vipacco, Tagliamento, and Adriatic basins as models.

In addition to the international exhibition at Vila Vipolže, the rich collateral program includes performances, environmental sampling workshops, conferences, film screenings, and round tables.

An opportunity to redefine our relationship with nature, aware that the environment is not something external to us but a system of which we are part.

Main program events:

October 2 and 3 (from 6:30 PM): Pop-up laboratory for microplastic sampling (in collaboration with GLOBE Italia and IzVRS)

October 3 (4:30 p.m.): Round table discussion "SOČA, ČISTA HČI PLANIN!" ("ISONZO, PURE DAUGHTER OF THE MOUNTAINS!") on the protection of the Isonzo River

October 4 (4:30 pm): Adriatic Odyssey , screening of three short films from Istria and meeting with the authors

Inauguration: October 1, 2026 at 7:30 pm.
