Pixxelpoint 2026

The renowned cross-border festival of intermedia art and new technologies returns to Nova Gorica and Gorizia with an edition titled "SONONIMI: The Intermediate Spaces of Sound and Image," curated by Andrej Kobal.

Organized by Kulturni dom Nova Gorica, the Pixxelpoint festival is now in its 27th year, establishing itself as a leading cross-border hub for media and contemporary art. The 2026 edition, titled "SONONIMI: Vmesni prostori zvoka in podobe" ( SONONIMI: The Intermediate Spaces of Sound and Image ) and curated by Andrej Kobal, will explore the synesthetic interactions between visual arts, sound installations, and technology. The event will take place from Friday, October 16, to Friday, October 23, 2026 , at various venues in Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

The official opening will take place on Friday, October 16th, with a traveling exhibition tour starting at 6:00 PM in Gorizia (at The Circle ), continuing at Galerija TIR (Mostovna), and culminating at 8:00 PM with the main opening at Mestna galerija Nova Gorica, followed by concerts and performances at the Rotunda of the SNG Nova Gorica and at the Klub Teater. The week-long program includes multimedia art exhibitions, interactive workshops, lectures, guided walks with the curator, and live electronic music and sound experiments with local and international artists.
