Modro mesto - Chefchaouen (The Blue City)

The EDA Gallery in Nova Gorica presents a photographic exhibition by Dušan Gorast Miška dedicated to Chefchaouen, Morocco's world-famous "Blue City." 

This visual journey celebrates the pioneering use of color to capture the enchanting shades of a location steeped in history and spirituality.

Photographer Dušan Gorast Miška, a prominent figure in art color photography and the Nova Gorica school, presents a collection focusing on the timeless charm of the Moroccan medina.

Founded in 1471 and shaped by Moroccan, Andalusian, and Jewish influences, Chefchaouen is renowned for its streets and houses covered in vibrant shades of blue. 

The exhibition offers an in-depth aesthetic analysis where every narrow street, door, and staircase demands a shot, turning the blue palette into the true protagonist of the show.

Through his lens, Miška advocates for the distinct expressive criteria of color photography, establishing its independence from traditional black-and-white mediums.
