Light The Future – Final Event
The EPICenter in Nova Gorica hosts the final evening of the international art project Light the Future , with evocative light projections and the presentation of works created by artists and young creatives on the theme of the cross-border city.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, starting at 8:00 pm, the EPICenter in Nova Gorica will host the closing event of Light the Future – A Collective Imagination for the Borderless City , an international artistic project created by Zavod ROR and the aiku center of the Ca' Foscari University Foundation of Venice, co-financed by the European Union under the GO! 2025 Small Projects Fund (Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia) managed by the GECT GO.
The initiative explores the potential of light and contemporary practices to rethink the shared space between Nova Gorica and Gorizia, drawing on the fruits of a summer school in Venice, four creative workshops, and the involvement of internationally renowned artists such as Hermes H Mangialardo, Claudia Reh, LuMenArtist, and Lumoskop_lab.
During the evening, the public will be able to enjoy light projections and discover works born from the collaboration between light art masters, young people under 30, and students from the Šempas Primary School. Admission is free.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the GO! 2025 Small Projects Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia 2021–2027 Programme, managed by the GECT GO.
