Jazz Punt Big Band & Boštjan Gombač TRIAKONTA

After its resounding summer premiere in Cerkno, composer Žiga Stanič's musical work Triakonta will be performed again at Kulturni dom Nova Gorica.

The Jazz Punt Big Band from Tolmin and soloist Boštjan Gombač, one of the few Slovenian musicians specializing in playing a reconstruction of the Neanderthal flute, will once again bridge all temporal distances in a single point and revive a long-forgotten mystical experience.

The piece Triakonta was composed in honor of the 30th anniversary of the discovery of the Neanderthal flute in Divje Babe, considered the oldest musical instrument in the world. As part of the Najstarejša piščal (The Oldest Flute) project produced by the Cerkno Jazz Institute, the debut concert last July was included in the official program of the European Capital of Culture 2025.

This concert is a co-production with the Kulturni dom Nova Gorica as part of the 31st Keltika cycle.

Thursday, February 26, at 8:00 p.m.
Grand Hall of the Kulturni dom Nova Gorica
Tickets are available at the Kulturni dom Nova Gorica box office and on the kupikarto.si website.
