You are invited to the event NEVIDNE ŽENSKE // INVISIBLE WOMEN, part of the international project Invisible Women, organised by the Zveza MinK Tolmin as part of the official GO! 2025 programme, which focuses on immigrant women in our region - it talks about the position of women in contemporary society and culture through the eyes of immigrant women. It tells the story of women who have left their homeland for various reasons and who often play a marginal (invisible) role in the environment they have moved to and will probably never truly belong to. Yet they are part of our society, enriching it in their daily lives with the cultural diversity they have brought with them.
The event consists of three parts; an art exhibition, a round table and concerts. The conceptual exhibition We Cut Cables presents the situation of new media and post-media art from the perspective of women's creativity. A roundtable entitled Migration; Gender; Culture will explore the multifaceted intersections of these themes and shed light on the experiences and challenges faced by individual women in culture, while in the evening we will be treated to a musical programme featuring four female performers from different cultural and social backgrounds who express their views on the world and society through music.
