In Memoriam Béla Tarr - Kinemax

In Memoriam Béla Tarr - Kinemax

The event will begin at 8:00 PM in collaboration with the Palazzo del Cinema, at the Kinemax cinema, where we will have the opportunity to attend contributions and testimonials from Pedro Costa, Lav Diaz, Amos Gitai, Amir Naderi, Gregor Božič, Alessandro Comodin, and others.

The meeting will be introduced by Donatello Fumarola and Mateja Zorn of the cross-border film festival Homage to a Vision, who will illustrate the significance of Tarr's work and its influence on contemporary cinema.

Followed by a screening of the film The Turin Horse (A Torinói ló, Hungary, 2011, 156', black and white), directed by Béla Tarr and Ágnes Hranitzky.

The work expresses and explores Tarr's humanistic approach and the coherence of his cinematic thought in an extraordinarily intense and moving way. This tribute not only aims to preserve his memory, but also reinforces GO! STUDIO's mission: to create concrete opportunities for young filmmakers in the cross-border area between Nova Gorica and Gorizia, fostering their growth within a structured, open, and practice-oriented learning environment.
