Grunt

The "Musiche dal Mondo 2026" festival, in collaboration with AESON Festival, presents a concert by the Slovenian band Grunt, scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd at 8:00 PM in Fiumicello. The event offers an avant-garde sound exploration that blends primordial ethno, psychedelic rock, and contemporary improvisation.

Grunt's artistic project is an authoritative part of the new European music scene, configuring itself as an ideal point of convergence between Western cultural heritage and the sonic traditions of the Balkans, Turkey and border territories.

The quartet – composed of Metka Knap (vocals and tambura), Anton Lorenzutti (electric guitar), Timi Vremec (bass) and Tomi Novak (drums and electronics) – will lead the audience on a sophisticated geopolitical and acoustic journey.

The repertoire ranges with philological rigor and creative energy, from Pontic chants from the Greek Black Sea, Sephardic mosaics, Bosnian sevdah, Kurdish influences, and Macedonian melodies. Through the use of complex rhythms and hypnotic vocals, the ensemble transcends geographical and gender barriers to create a deeply shared cultural experience.

Admission to the event is free, and you can book or get more details on the official circuit: https://www.vivaticket.com
