Gorizia Trail – A New Vision of the Border

A cross-border and accessible community walk along the Gorizia Way, also open to blind and visually impaired people, to rediscover the symbolic places of Gorizia and Nova Gorica. .

The Patriarchal Basilica of Aquileia and the Intermunicipal Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Nova Gorica (MDSSNG) are organizing a cross-border and accessible community walk along the fourth stage of the Gorizia Way. .

The event will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 , from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm , starting from Transalpina Square / Trg Evrope .

The route, lasting approximately three hours, will also be accompanied by the blind dog Ula and will pass through some of the most emblematic places of the two cities, including Piazza Transalpina, Piazza Vittoria, the Castle of Gorizia, Castagnevizza and Piazza Bevk. .

At the end of the walk, at the EPICenter, there will be a toast offered by the Klet Brda winery and the Brda volunteers. The day is part of the project "Passi d'Inclusione: l'Iter Goritiense Accessibile", supported by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and aimed at making the entire itinerary from the Basilica of Aquileia to the sanctuary of Sveta Gora accessible. .
