Fedeli D'amore

Fedeli D'amore

The Teatro Verdi in Trieste presents Fedeli d’Amore by Giorgio Battistelli, a new commission inspired by the works of Claudio Magris and the figure of the Gorizian philosopher Carlo Michelstaedter

Fedeli d’Amore is a new production commissioned by the Teatro Verdi in Trieste from composer Giorgio Battistelli on the occasion of GO! 2025 - Nova Gorica - Gorizia European Capital of Culture. The work, with a libretto by Arnaldo Colasanti based on texts by Claudio Magris, draws inspiration from the life and thought of Carlo Michelstaedter, a Gorizian philosopher of the early 20th century. The lyrical scenes are performed by tenor Bryan Lopez Gonzales (Carlo) and baritone Federico Longhi (Enrico), with the Chorus and Orchestra of the Fondazione Teatro Verdi conducted by Enrico Calesso. Stage direction is entrusted to the Anagoor collective, with mise en espace by Simone Derai. The work will be presented in two versions.

September 27, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. – “Amedeo Duca d’Aosta” Airport Hangar in Gorizia: world premiere in staged form, free admission with reservation (limited seats, reservation via email to boxoffice@teatroverdi-trieste.com by Friday, 26/09/25).
