Easter at Gorizia Castle

Easter at Gorizia Castle

On the occasion of the Easter holidays, the city of Gorizia relaunches its cultural offering with a special program dedicated to the Gorizia Castle .

From Thursday, April 2nd to Monday, April 6th, the castle will host a new edition of its video mapping shows, designed to enhance its historical heritage through innovative languages.

The initiative, promoted by the Municipality and implemented by ETT as part of the Bando Borghi project, will once again feature the multimedia installations that attracted widespread public participation during the winter months. The projections, accompanied by sound effects and light displays, will transform the castle walls into a visual narrative that intertwines the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, with references to astronomy, astrology, and the region's identifying symbols.

The performances will take place every evening in the Corte dei Lanzi, between 8:30 and 10:00 p.m., with two consecutive performances—"In the Castle: Counts and Knights, Ladies and Servants" and "In the Castle: Games, Music and Magic"—each lasting approximately 15 minutes. Admission is free.

Furthermore, on Easter and Easter Monday, the Castle will be exceptionally open to the public without a ticket, offering the opportunity to visit the interior spaces, the historic furnishings and the multimedia exhibition path.

The site is normally open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (last admission at 5:15 pm). For further information, please call 0481 535146, while tickets are also available online through Vivaticket .
