Festival Prečkanja/Sconfinamenti

Daniel Ciobanu has won prestigious competitions, including all the gold medals at the Unisa International Piano Competition (South Africa) and the BNDES International (Rio de Janeiro). He became the first pianist in the history of the International Piano Competition of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Morocco to win all the special prizes and to be unanimously named the winner.

Performances worldwide: he has given concerts at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Munich Gasteig, Salzburg Mozarteum, De Bijloke in Ghent, Auditorium de Radio France and Taipei National Concert Hall.

He has performed with a number of renowned orchestras (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester) and shared the stage with renowned virtuosi such as Isabel Karajan, violinist Julian Rachlin, conductor Cristian Macelaru and Gabriel Bebeselea. He was the first artist in residence at the George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest and is now artist in residence at the Banatul Philharmonic in Timișoara.
