Dance Performance The Poetic Body

Dance Performance The Poetic Body

Poetic Body, a new dance performance by the renowned artistic duo Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Rynia, will be presented on 30 November 2025 at 20:00 on the main stage of SNG Nova Gorica. The performance explores the human being as a creative and sensitive entity through movement and poetic expression.

The Poetic Body explores the consequences of the myth of Prometheus, the bringer of fire and a symbol of consciousness and creativity. The performance poses the question of what truly makes us human and, through dance, builds a bridge between the body, art, and spirit. Movement becomes poetry, while the body serves as a vessel of memory and emotion, telling a story of inner light and the search for meaning.

The creators, Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Rynia, founders of MN Dance Company, are known for their refined movement vocabulary and original choreographic language, which intertwines contemporary dance, theatre, and sensual aesthetics. Their work delves into the depths of human experience and artistic transcendence.

The premiere of The Poetic Body will take place on 6 January 2026 on the main stage of SNG Nova Gorica, as a co-production of MN Dance Company, SNG Nova Gorica, European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia, and Cankarjev dom Ljubljana.

More information about tickets can be found on the SNG website.
