Conversation with Maruša Sagadin on the exhibition Golobčki v slepih kotih at EPIC café

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 16:00, a conversation with the artist Maruša Sagadin will take place at the EPIC café in Nova Gorica in connection with the exhibition Golobčki v slepih kotih, where the artist will present the three sculptures from the Luv birds series. 

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 16:00, a conversation with the artist Maruša Sagadin will take place at the EPIC café in Nova Gorica, on the occasion of the exhibition Golobčki v slepih kotih. The exhibition features three spatially expressive sculptures from the Luv birds series, presented in 2023 at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt; after being shown in Bad Ischl (EPK 2024), the works are currently on display in Nova Gorica and will be included by the end of the year in the permanent collection of the Moderna galerija.

During the conversation, the artist will introduce visitors to her creative process, the concept of the works, and her choice of materials, which include cardboard, wood, plaster, acrylic pigments, and metal. Her works operate at the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and language, characterized by playfulness, vibrant colors, and a subtle critique of social space.

The event is part of the cultural program preparing for GO! 2025 – European Capital of Culture and offers visitors the opportunity to explore contemporary art and the interaction between art, space, and society. Students are especially encouraged to attend to gain first-hand insight into artistic practice.
