Concert by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Youth Choir

Concert by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Youth Choir

In Grado, at the Basilica of Sant'Eufemia, the protagonists on Tuesday 4 August, at 8.45 pm, will be the singers of the Emilia-Romagna Youth Choir , directed by Elisa Dal Corso.

The concert, with free admission, will feature a programme spanning four centuries of sacred music: from Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina to contemporaries Ola Gjeilo and Lars Jansson , as well as St. Bernard's Prayer to the Virgin , the text of which is taken from Dante's Paradise and set to music by the Trappist nuns of the Vitorchiano monastery in Lazio.

The Emilia-Romagna Youth Choir is a choral group founded in 2017 by AERCO , the Emilia-Romagna Choir Association , with the aim of bringing together young choristers from across the region and serving as a hub for the youth choral movement. Composed of young people between the ages of 18 and 35, the choir combines training and artistic production, establishing itself over the years as a significant force nationwide. Since 2026, it has been directed by Elisa Dal Corso, who has conducted some of the most important choral groups in Northern Italy, particularly youth choirs.

The Basilica Concerts season, organized by the Foundation for the Conservation of the Basilica of Aquileia , is made possible thanks to the contributions of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Friuli Foundation, the Aquileia Foundation, and the BCC Venezia Giulia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Aquileia, the Basilica of Sant'Eufemia in Grado, and the Mattiussi family.
