Book Launch: “Spomni se name - Ricordati di me” by Francesca Sibilla

The Lojze Bratuž Cultural Center in Gorizia will host the official presentation of the latest book by Francesca Sibilla, published by Gruppo Albatros. This poignant work delves into historical memory and the human narratives shaped in the shadow of the Italian-Yugoslav border after World War II.

On Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 6:30 PM, the cross-border cultural landscape will be highlighted by the presentation of the book “Spomni se name - Ricordati di me” by Gorizia-born author Francesca Sibilla.

The event, featuring guest speaker Andrea Bellavite, will explore the complex historical events of 1947, when the Gorizia territory was divided between the Italian and Yugoslav administrations, a separation starkly marked by the wall at Transalpina Square (Trg Evrope). 

Through a rigorous yet deeply moving narrative, the volume sheds light on the resilience and courage of women and young girls who grew up behind the Iron Curtain, maintaining human connections and dignity despite geopolitical barriers.

Organized by Gruppo Albatros and "Il Filo", the institutional gathering will conclude with a closing toast for all attendees.
