Beethoven: From Darkness to Light
The FVG Orchestra presents a diptych that explores Beethoven's tension between titanism and spirituality, uniting two masterpieces composed in the same year (1807) in an ideal journey "from darkness to light". The programme includes the Coriolanus Overture in C minor, op. 62 and the Mass in C major for soloists, choir and orchestra, op. 86.
Admission is free upon reservation on the èStoria website www.estoria.it . Reservations can be made starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, until seats are filled.
The concert is the third of three major cross-border cultural events of the BeWoP project – Beyond Walk of Peace: from Crossborder Historical Research and Cultural Heritage to European Trail and Stories.
The BeWoP project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme. Project partners include the lead partner Fundacija Poti miru v Posocju, GECT GO, ZRC SAZU, PromoTurismoFVG, the Municipality of Miren Kostanjevica, and the èStoria Cultural Association.
