The comparison between cultures, the relationship with emblematic places, the overcoming of physical and symbolic borders, the idea of the passage from one state to another, from one form of existence to another: it is on these coordinates that Attraversamenti / Prehajanja develops.

Active on the international scene, Annibel Cunoldi Attems has been developing research for decades that intertwines language, space, and memory, crossing different expressive media: from graphics to painting, from photography to installation.
 
The idea for the exhibition stems from the relationship with emblematic places of passage, spaces of passage that take on a meaning that transcends their original function. In this sense, the CREW space, located on the border between Italy and Slovenia, becomes the ideal setting to host the artist's works.
 
The exhibition features black and white photographs and installations that reflect on memory, places, and the relationships between image, word, and space.
 
Among the key works are those dedicated to the Old Port, a symbol of suspended and transforming spaces, and the installation on Anhovo, which addresses the relationship between economic development and environmental awareness through negative images and multiple perspectives.
 
Symbolic sites from European history are also reinterpreted, such as the Glienicke Bridge ("Bridge of Spies"), linked to the Cold War and today a symbol of unity, and the installation Diversité , created to mark the twinning of Paris and Berlin. A central element of the exhibition is the use of words as a tool for reflection and meaning.
 
This emerges in the installation Freiklang / Kontrolle / Provocation , dedicated to the contrast between freedom and control, and in the project inspired by Franco Basaglia, which through photographs and textual fragments explores themes such as identity, order and transformation.
