A Thousand Years of History at Borgo Castello: Free Guided Tours

Free guided tours of the historic center will take place in Goriški Grad between May 2 and June 27, 2026. The event offers an insight into history, art, and European identity.

Between May 2 and June 27, 2026, free guided tours take place every Saturday, starting at the PromoTurismoFVG tourist information point in Travnik.

At 10:30 am, the "Classic Itinerary" is on the agenda, leading along historic streets (Via Rastello, Via Cocevia) to the Castle Settlement and Gorizia Castle with a tour of the walls.

At 3:30 p.m., a tour of the “Different Ascent to the Castle” will follow through the castle park along Via Giustiniani.

Thematic tours are also available: on May 10 and June 7, “From the Castle Settlement to the Gorizia Synagogue” and on May 24 and June 21, “From Travnik to the Coronini Cronberg Palace”.

Participation is free, prior registration is required, maximum 25 people per group.
