100 km along the Cold River

On Sunday, 29 September 2024, the Sports Association of Runners of Vipavska Dolina is organising the 7th edition of the 100 km along the Cold River (Tek 100 ob Mrzli reki).

The competition takes place in Ajdovščina, in the very centre of the town, in the individual and relay categories. Distances individual: 100 km, 75 km, 50 km individual Relay race - length per relay member: 20 km, 15 km, 10 km (5 relay members), 2.5 km (4 relay members from Vipava Valley companies). The 100 km race is considered to be the third national championship of Slovenia this year.

The start-finish area is in Lavrič Square, while other accompanying activities will take place in the First Slovenian Government Hall. The course of the race is circular and runs on a 2.5 km long circuit, the number of laps depends on the distance chosen. The competition runs from 07.00 to 19.00, with a 12-hour time limit for all categories. The relay results will be announced 1 hour after the top 3 finishers arrive at the finish line, the awards for the categories will be presented individually at 7.30 p.m. in the Hall of the First Slovenian Government. On Saturday, the day before the race, a talk evening with well-known competitors from the ultra and recreational running scene will be organised. Entries are limited to 400 competitors. Entry fee: 30–35 € per relay member, 55–75 € individuals.
