Ungaretti poet and soldier. The Karst and the soul of the world. Poetry, painting, history is a multidisciplinary project about Giuseppe Ungaretti, the poet and soldier, which explores his role in the evolution of the artistic language. The project will be accompanied by educational activities, conferences, school visits and workshops for children, strengthening the link with local schools. There are two exhibitions to be held, one on the history of Karst during the First world war and Ungaretti’s life there accompanied by sixty paintings by twelve contemporary Italian authors, paintings especially created to interpret, in today’s language, the places on the Karst where Ungaretti had been a soldier and the second one "From Boccioni to Martini" where artists from North-East Italy of the decade 1910-1920 will be shown.
