We learn about the world through our senses, and this project will focus on touch. Discovering art through touch makes the experience more personal and multifaceted, for the blind and visually impaired as well as for the seeing.
With 3D relief paintings and sculptures, this gallery will encourage visitors to discover artworks through touch. The project will not stop there, but will also involve the other senses through a number of events: blind and partially sighted actors, guides, and young people will take visitors through different experiences of this kind. The gallery is being created with the support of local and international associations of blind and partially sighted people, and is focused on strengthening the community of blind and partially sighted people and their inclusion in the wider cultural and social community.
