Venue: Villa Manin, Passariano (Codroipo, Udine).
The project consists of an exhibition comprising about one hundred paintings illustrating the idea of the "border" in the most important international paintings of the 19th and 20th centuries and is divided into eight sections. From infinite boundary of the sky of Friedrich and Constable to the border of the far sea of Turner and Courbet, through Segantini’s epic mountains and interior borders of Van Gogh and Munch all the way to Gauguin’s exotic dreams and Monet’s gardens, the border becomes the metaphor for infinity and imagination.
