PARCO CORONINI CROMBERG

Extraordinarily charming, the historic park of Palazzo Coronini Cronberg was created around 1880 based on a design by Count Alfredo Coronini, who, starting with an Italian garden, created an English garden spanning various levels.

Art Nouveau buildings and statues were later added to complete the scenic effect, inspired by Miramare Park in Trieste.

The palace was also the last residence of Charles X of France, who rests in the Castagnevizza monastery.

The vegetation consists almost exclusively of typically Mediterranean evergreen trees and shrubs. You can admire a semi-rocky garden, a grove of holm oaks, cork oaks, Japanese medlars, bamboo, and a Ginkgo biloba.
