GIARDINO DI VILLA ATTEMS PETZENSTEIN PARCO DEI PRINCIPI

Sigismondo Attems's country villa was built between 1745 and 1748, shortly after his city palace. Both projects are attributed to Nicolò Pacassi.

During the First World War the villa suffered extensive damage and, left in a state of abandonment, had to be demolished in the early 1920s.

Only a small portion of the garden was preserved, and a series of historical stone memorials of the owner family are preserved there, such as the baroque portal that serves as the entrance.

The park was renovated in 2000, with the creation of paths, benches, a fountain and recreational areas.

Of great value is the avenue of centuries-old hornbeams present in the park, in addition to other tree species such as oaks, hackberries and holm oaks.
