Tenuta Luisa
This winery tells a story of fathers, sons and grandsons, of an entire family producing a distinctive wine that has borne their surname for over a century: Luisa. The winery is located in Corona, a hamlet of the municipality of Mariano del Friuli, and can count on 110 hectares of vines within the Friuli Isonzo DOC area. The area consists of a plateau gently sloping down from the hills of the Collio and the Karst towards the Adriatic Sea, and bears the imprint of the river from which it took its name. The area's Mediterranean microclimate offers significant temperature fluctuations, resulting in grapes with complex and articulated bouquets, as well as balanced structure and acidity. It is in this perfect habitat that the two Luisa brothers, Michele (oenologist) and Davide (agronomist), lead the estate, working in harmony and combining their common passion, acquired knowledge and taste for experimentation. At Tenuta Luisa, environmental sustainability has always been considered a precious value and the measures taken have led to two important certifications: SQNPI and Diversity Ark. Indeed, it is only from respect for the earth that wines with great soul can be produced.
