It's home to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Udine. Among its collections are the works of the brothers Basaldella, among the most significant artists of Italian 20th century, and masterpieces by internationally renowned artists.

Casa Cavazzini is home to the Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) of Udine.
Of particular interest among its collections are works by the brothers Dino, Mirko and Afro Basaldella of Udine, who rank among the greatest artists of the 20th century in Italy. The Museum also exhibits the Astaldi collection, with several masterpieces by internationally renowned artists, and the FRIAM collection, which includes 113 works by prominent names in the history of American contemporary art, such as Willem De Kooning, Carl Andre and Frank Stella, donated by these artists following the earthquake that struck the Friuli region in 1976.

The 16th century Casa Cavazzini complex was renovated in line with a design project by the architect Gae Aulenti. The renovation work brought to light some tempera murals created in 1938 by Afro Basaldella. Others amazing frescoes date back to the second half of the 14th century.
