A Pierfrancesco Pisani and Isabella Borettini production for Infinito and Argot Produzioni

With the contribution of the Tuscany Region in collaboration with EMERGENCY A duet of music and words.

Accompanied by music by Teho Teardo, actor Elio Germano will lend body and voice to the book "Una persona alla volta," the story of Gino Strada's anti-war commitment and experiences, from a young surgeon on the front lines to the founder of Emergency. Powerful, authentic, and direct words inspired the two artists, who are renewing their collaboration and on-stage connection following the success of "Il sogno di una cosa," based on the novel by Pier Paolo Pasolini, again produced by Pierfrancesco Pisani and Isabella Borettini for Infinito and Argot Produzioni.

A reflection on the consequences of war and the universal right to healthcare. He recounts the experiences that took him from a young surgeon in Sesto San Giovanni to faraway countries, pursuing the vision he fostered through his passion and his NGO: saving lives and fighting for their rights.

A passionate and adventurous narrative of the roots that inspired Gino Strada, journey after journey. "International commitments, geopolitical balances, deterrence... even jobs have been invoked for decades to say that no, it's not possible to take money away from war," writes Gino Strada. "And yet, a different way of living on this planet is possible. It's possible to live in a society that respects certain indisputable and non-negotiable principles: human rights.

It's not a question of lacking resources, but of choices not being made. The time has come to decide what priorities we give ourselves as a society: people's lives or war? Health, free education, decent work and protection, or hunger and suffering for many? It's not too much.
