Cinematic journey through Gorizia, Salcano, and Nova Gorica: exploring the territory through the eyes of six visionary filmmakers.

As part of the Nostro Cine Quotidiano project, from July 28 to August 2, a daily bike tour will guide participants through Gorizia, Salcano, and Nova Gorica, offering a unique opportunity to discover the area through the eyes of six visionary figures from the world of cinema:

  • Sandro Scandolara (journalist and film club organizer)
  • Ugo Casiraghi (film critic)
  • Darko Bratina (founder of Kinoatelje and the Sergio Amidei Prize)
  • Dorica Makuc (documentary filmmaker)
  • Sergio Amidei (screenwriter)
  • Silvan Furlan (founder of the Slovenian Film Archive)

Daily programme:

  • 6:30 PM – departure by bike from BorGO Cinema (Via Rastello) to central Nova Gorica 
  • 8:30 PM – end of the ride
  • 9:00 PM – open-air film screening at the Silvan Furlan Cinema
  • Return to Gorizia by bus (departures at 10:30 / 11:00 / 11:30 PM) – fare: €1.70

Guided tour schedule:

  • Monday, July 28 – in Italian and Slovenian
  • Tuesday, July 29 – in Slovenian
  • Wednesday, July 30 – in Italian
  • Thursday, July 31 – reserve date (in case of high demand or bad weather)
  • Friday, August 1 – in Slovenian
  • Saturday, August 2 – in Italian
  • Sunday, August 3 – reserve date (in case of high demand or bad weather)
  • Extra dates: Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30

The tour is free, but booking is required (max. 10 participants per group).
Bikes are available in Piazza Vittoria via the GO! Borderless service for those without their own.
