GO! 2025 Borderless photo installation on the road
In 2025, ITS Arcademy will cross its borders with an extraordinary open-air photographic installation, which will transform the heart of Trieste into an artistic itinerary capable of entering into dialogue with citizens and visitors from every corner of the world, dealing with a universal theme.
Realised thanks to the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the urban exhibition celebrates the initiative GO! 2025 Borderless - Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capital of Culture, inviting the public to reflect on the concept of borders, visible and invisible, as connecting lines rather than barriers.
The Installation
Curated by photographer Massimo Gardone, the installation consists of 10 blow-ups celebrating the talent of the young designers who were awarded the GO! 2025 Borderless Award, a special project promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and awarded during the 2024 edition of ITS Contest. The works explore the absence and crossing of borders through the interpretation of a garment and the accompanying narrative. Each creation challenges geographical, cultural and personal boundaries, offering food for thought on themes of identity and belonging. Through Gardone's lens, these works tell stories of transformation, where material and personal limits are transformed into opportunities for connection and growth.
