Nativity Scene in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta

Animated folk-style Nativity scene in the Capuchin Friars’ Church of Gorizia.

Inside the Capuchin Friars’ Church in Gorizia, just to the left of the entrance, visitors can admire a striking folk-style Nativity scene featuring 1950s plaster figures and animated effects that recreate the passing of day and night beneath a sky filled with angels.

Opening hours:
Monday: 17:45–19:00
Tuesday to Saturday: 7:00–12:00 and 16:00–19:00
Sundays and public holidays: 7:00–12:00
(Animation is paused during liturgical services.)
