Učja and Sella Carnizza Cycling Tour | Soča Valley Hiking & Biking Festival

The route starts in Bovec and leads through the village of Plužna, past the Boka Waterfall, before turning into the Učja Valley, where the first longer climb begins. After crossing the former border crossing, a descent follows before the main ascent to the Sella Carnizza Pass, rewarding cyclists with magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. At the top, we will take a short break and enjoy a delicious homemade apple strudel, which has become an almost mandatory stop for cyclists on this route. We return along the same road and then follow the Soča River through the village of Čezsoča back to Bovec. This tour offers an excellent combination of a sporting challenge, quiet roads, and stunning Alpine scenery. It is ideal for well-prepared cyclists who enjoy longer climbs and scenic mountain roads. MEETING POINT: Bovec Airport at 9:00 a.m. DURATION: 3–4 hours DIFFICULTY: Moderately demanding cycling tour, approximately 50 km long, with around 1,300 m of elevation gain.
