16th Hike along the Bevk Trail | Soča Valley Hiking & Biking Festival

It takes place as part of Bevko Days 2026, which annually commemorate the anniversary of the birth and death of France Bevko, our literary giant, and as part of the 21st Echoes of Heritage Festival - dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Bohinj Railway, with a cultural program and the European Cultural Heritage Days.

ENGLISH The hike is part of the European Heritage Days 2026 (Heritage in a Changing World – Opportunities and Challenges) and the Soča Valley Hiking and Cycling Festival 2026. This year, the 16th Hike along the Bevk Trail will once again connect the Baška Grapa Valley and Zakojca as part of the traditional Bevk Days. The KTT Baška Dediščina Association is taking part in the organisation for the sixteenth consecutive year. This year’s hike is dedicated to the memory of Zofka Kveder and Fanica Obid, with the latter being particularly associated with the Kosovel Year 2026. We will mark the 120th anniversary of the Bohinj Railway with Bevk’s book The Iron Snake. Join us and follow in the footsteps of France Bevk!
