16th Hike along the Bevk Trail | Soča Valley Hiking & Biking Festival

It takes place as part of Bevko Days 2026, which annually commemorate the anniversary of the birth and death of France Bevko, our literary giant, and as part of the 21st Echoes of Heritage Festival - dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Bohinj Railway, with a cultural program and the European Cultural Heritage Days.

At the start, hikers will be introduced to the Baška grapa in a short cultural program (with an emphasis on Hudajužna – the chapel of St. Barbara and the info point).

Every year, on the way from Hudajužna to Zakojca, we read excerpts from Bevko's works, selected by hikers. The hike and cultural event (11:30 a.m.) at his homestead in Zakojca, where hikers from both directions gather, is a unique opportunity to connect various institutions and providers operating in the field of cultural and literary tourism. MEETING POINT: at 9:30 a.m. in Hudajužna (Locals' House - Bevkova pot info point)
