Tour of Slovenia returns to the Soča Valley
On Saturday, 20 June 2026, the Tour of Slovenia will return to the Soča Valley. As part of Stage 4, running from Kranj to Kranjska Gora, cyclists will also pass through the Municipality of Bovec and tackle one of the most demanding sections of the route. The stage will start in Kranj between 10:30 and 10:40, with the finish in Kranjska Gora expected between 15:20 and 15:45. Kranj is once again an official destination of the Tour of Slovenia and will host the start of an exceptionally demanding stage featuring more than 4,000 metres of elevation gain. The route will also take cyclists through neighbouring Italy, past Tarvisio and over the Predel Pass, before continuing through the Soča Valley towards Trenta. In the final part of the stage, cyclists will climb Vršič Pass again after 13 years, where the stage winner will most likely be decided. The finish will be in Kranjska Gora.
