The world of insects in Juliana
(in association with the Volčji Potok Arboretum; Let's Meet in the Gardens project) Some insects can see the ultraviolet (UV) part of the light spectrum, which is invisible to humans. This is why flowers often have UV patterns that guide insects to nectar. What do flowers look like under UV light, and how do insects see them? Sunday, 7 June 2026, 11:00 Garden admission is charged according to the price list; guided tours are free.   Let's Meet in the Gardens is an event highlighting the richness and diversity of historic and contemporary parks and gardens across Europe. The initiative began in France, where Rendez-vous aux jardins has taken place on the first weekend in June for over twenty years. In 2018, the event expanded to other European gardens and parks. This year’s theme is ‘Five Senses in the Garden: Sight’.   PROGRAMME OF EVENTS MARKING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE JULIANA ALPINE BOTANICAL GARDEN
