Stržišće Fair 2026

On Sunday, August 9, 2026, Stržišče will come alive again with the traditional Stržišče Fair, which will take visitors from 4 p.m. into the authentic atmosphere of a mountain village with views. "The Stržišče Fair is much more than a fair. It is a meeting of people who value homeliness, tradition and life in Baška grapa. We will be happy for every visitor who will co-create a pleasant fair afternoon with us." The event, which is jointly organized by the KTT Baška Heritage Society and the Stržišče Local Community, has been connecting locals, emigrants, creators, craftsmen and visitors from near and far for many years and preserves the rich cultural heritage of Baška grapa in the Municipality of Tolmin. The Stržišče Fair is not only a place to sell local products, but above all a meeting of people, traditions and stories that have been woven here. Visitors will be able to discover a diverse range of local crafts, handicrafts, local delicacies, presentations of associations and other products from Baška grapa and the wider area. The event is particularly valuable because Stržišče, as a village in Baška grapa, is included in the international network of Mountain Villages. The fair thus offers visitors not only an authentic encounter with local heritage, but also an opportunity to discover the natural beauties, hiking trails and hospitality of Baška grapa. The organizers want to create a pleasant social atmosphere for all generations this year and offer visitors the opportunity to meet local providers, creators and residents who preserve the life and tradition of Baška grapa with their work.
