The Story of Livek | Soča Valley Hiking & Biking Festival

Hike from Livek with exhibition, churches, trenches and museum visit, local food tastings and final lunch at the former school.

The trail begins in Livek at the former school with a visit to an exhibition on skiing. It continues to the Church of St. Peter and the viewpoint at Breg, featuring a traditional haystack. The route then climbs to Avsa, passing the Jelenov Breg farm, where hikers are welcomed with local dishes, homemade products, and numerous animals. The path then leads past military trenches to Jevšček, home to a war museum and one of the few preserved Slovenian-Venetian houses. The final part of the trail returns to Livek past stone troughs and concludes with a visit to the old linden tree, the Church of St. James, and lunch at the former school for all registered hikers.
