Cycling Tour to the Soča River Source

Road tour from Bovec to the source of the Soča River, as part of the Soča Valley Hiking & Biking Festival.

Meeting point: Bovec Airfield (bar next to the fire station) Duration: 2–3 hours Difficulty: moderate Equipment: road bike, helmet, water bottle. Road bike rental available – 60 EUR (with prior reservation). Price: 20 EUR (includes guide, support vehicle, snacks) Distance: 52 km Elevation gain: 690 m   The tour starts in Bovec and follows the main road through the Trenta Valley towards the Vršič Pass. The road steadily ascends along the Soča River, offering beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding peaks of the Julian Alps. At the end of the route, we turn off towards the source of the Soča River, where a short stop for refreshments and rest is planned. After the break, we return along the same route back to Bovec. This moderately demanding tour offers stunning views of the Soča River and the surrounding mountains, as well as an enjoyable cycling experience through one of the most picturesque Alpine valleys.
