Stržišče Fair 2025

Conversation on the cultural and natural heritage of the Stržišče local community, prize quiz.

Traditionally, the first Sunday after St. Lawrence (10 August), once the hardest farm work was completed – including mountain haymaking, wheat harvesting, and sowing of turnips and buckwheat – was a day of gathering, joy, and dance in Stržišče in the Bača Valley. Today, the once vast fields are giving way to meadows, but the festivity is more alive than ever.
