All-Slovenian Gathering for Peace on the International Day of Peace 2026 On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, Cerje will host the traditional All-Slovenian Gathering for Peace, featuring a ceremonial address and a cultural programme.

Peace cannot be taken for granted. It is a value that we preserve by understanding the past, taking responsibility for the future and recognising that peace begins with each and every one of us. The keynote speaker will be mag. Valentin Hajdinjak, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia.

The cultural programme, following the ceremonial tribute by the standard-bearers, will feature: Brass Quintet of the Police Orchestra Soloist Tjaša Fajdiga Pianist Blaž Pahor Kras Opatje Selo Youth Choir Students of Nova Gorica Grammar School MN Dance Company The event will be held in Slovenian, with interpretation into Italian provided.

The event is part of the BeWoP project, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A ITA-SLO 2021–2027 programme. You are warmly invited!
