A day exploring one of the "hottest Cold War frontiers" in Europe: starting with a visit to the San Michele Bunker, which remained in use until 1992 and has now been restored and opened to the public thanks to the work of volunteers from the Infantry of Arrest.

We will continue towards the Miren cemetery, where a permanent exhibition of the Goriški muzej is located, and towards the Vrtojba watchtower: firsthand evidence of the border that separated two sociopolitical worlds for decades.

The day will conclude with a symbolic walk to Transalpina Square / Trg Evrope, where the border, now reduced to a mere line on the ground, tells the story of the transition from division to European unity. A journey through history, memory, and landscape, to understand how the border literally permeated our daily lives.
