Experience the life of a soldier and his personal battles while enjoying breathtaking views from Kolovrat.
𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 "𝐒𝐨č𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭" More than a century ago, World War I carved deep scars into the region between the Alps and the Adriatic.
The Southwestern Front was established and the Isonzo Front formed a part of it.
The Italian and Austro-Hungarian Armies fought fierce battles here for 29 months.
Through the story, intertwined with historical facts and personal insights, you will experience the daily life of a soldier—step into his thoughts, fears, and fragile glimpses of humanity amidst the war.
On the Kolovrat Ridge, where every stone, trench, and view tells its own story, the past comes alive once again.
The experience includes:
- Interactive guided tour with two historical experts with an abundance of stories, unknown details, and personal accounts from the frontlines
- Lunch or dinner served from a soldierʼs mess kit: traditional stew with sausage or venison goulash with polenta (by prior arrangement), a refreshing drink, and dessert
- A souvenir and a group photo with a soldier Duration: 3-4h Meeting point: parking lot by the Kolovrat Outdoor Museum (arrival by own transport)
